The New TaylorMade R7 Quad lets you "Dial" in their ball flight with the turn of a screw. The 400cc r7 Quad comes with a pair of two-gram cartridges. You can customize the clubhead's center of gravity (CG)—and thus shot shape—by adjusting the cartridges. More weight in the back helps produce a higher trajectory; more weight to the heel helps produce a draw; more weight back and to the heel helps create a high draw—there are six combinations in all. Think of the weights as space-age lead tape, only far more precise. And there's no sticky residue!
Gearheads can choose the still-more-expensive r7 Quad TP, which comes with 12 cartridges ranging from two to 14 grams. That adds up to a whopping 883 settings across nine swing weights. Debuting on June 16, the Quad and the TP will be available in 8.g°, 9.5° and 10.5° lofts, and 7.5° in TP only.
